The line between video games and reality is becoming more and more blurred. Earlier this month Polyphony Digital, the team that puts together the Gran Turismo series of games, offered a test drive of the Lotus Evora in Gran Turismo 5. Now the team has gone a step further and has put together a commercial of sorts featuring the Ferrari California going for a drive in landmark areas. Watch, enjoy, and question reality.

We’ve uncovered plenty of pictures and video of the Ferrari California, but this is the first time its been spotted in its namesake. Ferrari’s first hardtop convertible was caught taking publicity photos in the San Francisco area. If Ferrari’s got cars that they can send out for publicity shots that should mean that the V-8 GT car is not too far away from hitting the showrooms. No word yet on if the car also got shots in the southern part of the state. Maybe the photo crew decided they didn’t need the the bikini clad babes of Los Angles to sell the car.

The Official Ferrari Magazine, the new publication for Ferrari clients worldwide, opens with a truly unique interview. Produced in collaboration with world lifestyle publications leader, Condè Nast, the first issue of the magazine sees Ferrari President and Fiat Group Chairman Luca di Montezemolo being interviewed by Michael Schumacher. One of the many questions posed by Schumacher, who is well aware of Montezemolo’s reactions when a GP doesn’t go well, was: “President, how many TVs have you smashed on my account after watching F1?” to which Montezemolo replies “I’d say four” with Schumacher joking “It’s a good thing you didn’t send me the bill then”

Ferrari Magazine is a lively and interesting mix of cars, racing culture, fashion and design seen from the point of view of the Ferrari world and the passionate individuals who buy these superb cars.

Although the Ferrari F430 Scuderia is already a powerful car, with a 510 hp engine capable to push it up to 320 km/h, for those who want better performance Novitec released its performance package for the Italian sports car.

Featuring a high performance mechanical supercharger and a generously dimensioned water-cooled intercooler, the car develops 717 hp and and astonishing 722 Nm. With the new power increase the vehicle sprints from 0-100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, 0-200 km/h in just 10.1 seconds, 0-300 km/h in 26.1 seconds and a top speed of 348 km/h. No words about the price yet!

Carrozeria Touring made its come back few weeks ago at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este with the unveiling of two designed cars based on Maserati models. First was the Maserati A8 GCS Berlinetta, a model that was inspired by the 60’s berlinettas, while the second one, Maserati Quattroporte Bellagio Fastback, will go into limited production.

The next company that will cooperate with Carrozeria Touring will be Ferrari. They want a model that will be able to satisfy customers looking for exotic body. The model they will work on will be the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti.
