Audi R-S-Street by Kicherer

The Audi RS6 Avant is becoming a popular customizing car. After ABT, MTM and B&B versions, Kicherer of Germany unveiled today its customization options for the Audi RS6 Avant. Dubbed Audi R-S-Street, the vehicle comes with a power increase from 580 hp to 700 hp. The extra horses make the 0-60 mph sprint is achieved in 4.3 seconds, the 0-124 mph is made in 13 seconds while the top speed is electronically limited to 173 mph.

In order to deliver better stability the car not only received a new suspension system that lowers the car by 25 millimeters, but also gets a new rear air diffuser. A new exhaust system is used for a better sound of the engine. The body kit of the vehicle includes carbon fiber mirror covers and front lip spoiler. What is really special at this car is the custom body paint and the custom 22 inch wheels which complement the kit.

Audi RS6 Avant by B&B

After ABT unveiled its customized Audi RS6 Avant with 700 hp and 590 ft lbs of torque, its main rival, B&B unveiled its new tuning kit for the German car. The new program from B&B has 4 versions of boost for the V10 TFSI engine, developing 650, 670, 700 and 715 hp. With the 4th level installed, the car can hit 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds, with 0.3 seconds faster than the ABT RS6 Avant, and has a top speed of 200 mph.

Also, a new a new suspension kit was added in order to obtain a better stability. No words about the price yet. Also check Audi RS6 Avant by ABT.

FEATURES: 2010 Audi R8 Roadster Spied

It’s hard to go unnoticed in Audi’s R8, something that has become abundantly clear to us in the short time a Mugello blue coupe has been in our Four Seasons fleet. But what if you want onlookers to notice who’s in the R8 as well?

For that, it looks like Audi’s Spaceship-meets-Gallardo will need to lose its top. Judging by these spy shots, the convertible R8 will feature a folding soft top and some additional exterior modifications.
The first thing we notice on this flat-black prototype is the absence of the R8 coupe’s so-called side blades. Available in contrasting colors and optional carbon fiber on the hardtop, the panels have given way to larger rear intakes that now begin well aft of the doors. Both the front and rear fascias have been revised and feature fewer slats in their air apertures - those below the headlights feature two, and those under the taillights have three - which is in line with the semi-bonkers R8 TDI concept that Audi showed this year. The exhaust note will emanate from dual ovoid outlets instead of the quad tips found on the coupe. All of these changes could also carry over to the coupe as part of a mid-cycle refresh
Though the engine is mounted just behind the occupants in the current fixed-roof R8, the sound doesn’t permeate the firewall as much as we’d like. This droptop version should cure that, sending the mighty V-8’s song in every direction. We just hope the reworked engine cover doesn’t muffle the symphony too much.
Rearward visibility will likely be improved in top-up configuration, since the rear window will be much further forward. With the top down, any blind spots should be eliminated, allowing the occupants to see out as well as be seen.
Since this model hasn’t been officially confirmed, we don’t yet know what the model designator will be. What it could be called: Cabriolet, Roadster, or Convertible. Audi has historically used the Cabriolet moniker for its four-place droptops (A4) and Roadster for the two seaters (TT) so, following that logic, Roadster is the most likely choice. What it probably won’t be called: Targa, Spider/Spyder. There are two other brands within Audi’s extended family that have already laid claim to these badges - Porsche with the 911 Targa, and Lamborghini with the Gallardo and Murciélago Spyder. It’s not likely that Porsche will loosen its reins on the Targa name, and it’s also unlikely that Audi would steal the Gallardo’s Spyder name since the R8 already borrows heavily enough from that car.

So, targa or spider? What will it be? If the chop-top R8 turns out to be a spider, then these Photoshopped pictures may give a good idea of what it will look like. No matter the body style, it should be moved by a 4.2 liter V8 and a 5.2 liter V10 engine with output around 525 hp.

Audi R8 - official safety car of DTM series

The Audi R8 sports car will be used this week-end at the DTM race series as the official safety car. Also, a specially prepared R8 will be used as a racing taxi.

Of course that the modifications were minimal, according to Werner Frowein, managing director of quattro GmbH: “There were not many modifications required, though, because the R8 possesses the genes of a perfect sports car.”

Audi RS6 Sedan at Paris Auto Show

Audi will unveil the RS6 Sedan at the Paris Motor Show in October. Spy photographers from Auto Motor Und Sport caught it while testing!

The RS6 was already unveiled in the Avant version, but the sedan will feature new rear lights. Audi will put in the RS6 Sedan the well-known lights from the A4-Facelift.

Under the hood there will be the same V10 engine with FSI direct injection and twin turbochargers from the RS6 Avant version that will develop 580 hp.

Supercharged Direct-Injection V-6 Destined for Next Audi S4

Although Audi’s still secretive about its plans for the next-generation S4, it has revealed what is rumored to lurk underhood: a 3.0-liter supercharged direct-injection V-6.

Audi’s named the motor the 3.0 TFSI, although unlike previous motors with the TFSI nomenclature, the V-6 makes use of a supercharger in lieu of a turbocharger. That blower is nestled between the banks of the 90-degree V-6, allowing Audi to squeeze the 3.0 TFSI into tighter packages.

The supercharger, coupled with direct fuel injection, allows the smaller V-6 to produce respectable numbers. Preliminary specifications for the 3.0 TFSI have the supercharged six turning 290 hp at 5000 rpm and 310 lb-ft of torque from 2500 to 4850 rpm.

Sure, that horsepower figure is down 54 ponies from the current S4’s 4.2-liter V8, but the real magic lies in the torque figures. The 3.0 TFSI produces eight lb-ft of torque more than the V-8, and does so at 2500 rpm - 1000 rpm lower than the V8.

Audi also tells us to expect an average combined fuel economy of 25.5 mpg from the engine, which is an impressive 10 mpg better than today’s S4.

Expect to see official details surrounding the 3.0 TFSI’s installation in the S4 as soon as October, when the new S4 may be unveiled at the Paris motor show.

Audi TT Roadster by ABT

After we unveiled you the Vw Eos by ABT, today we present you the Audi TT Roadster customized by the same tuning specialist. For 2671 euro the tuning company offers a body kit consisting in a front lip spoiler, new side sills, a rear apron featuring an air diffuser with integrated exhaust system and a rear spoiler. In order to deliver better stability new 20 inch alloy wheels are available at a price of 833 euro per unit.

New ECU tweaking is available. At a price of 1369 euro, the 2.0-litre TFSI engine delivers now 240 hp while the S version is upgraded from 270 to 300 hp. The sportiest version featuring the 3.2-litre engine is upgraded to 370 hp, but at a price of 14,756 euro.

Powerful, spontaneous and ultra-efficient: this is the new top version in Audi’s V6 engine range. The 3.0 TFSI develops 290 hp and a huge 309.78 lb-ft of torque. It combines two state-of-the-art technologies in perfect style – gasoline direct injection and compressor supercharging. The hi-tech V6 will go into production later in the year.

The brand with the four rings has a long tradition of supercharged engines. The legendary Grand Prix racing cars built by Auto Union back in the 1930s already featured compressors, which coaxed as much as 440 kW (around 600 hp) out of the mighty 16-cylinder and 12-cylinder engines. From the late 1970s on, Audi focused its attention on the exhaust turbocharger, which helped it to a succession of noteworthy triumphs in the world of motor sport. It was at this time that Audi’s turbo engines began to enjoy resounding market success.

The compressor is now staging a comeback. It is the ideal supercharging technology for the new three-liter V6, the 3.0 TFSI; the T in Audi engine designations consequently no longer exclusively denotes turbo versions.

There’s no secret left: here the future Audi R8 - V10 spotted totally uncovered Audi’s quattro GmbH. The car will make its official debut at the Paris Motor Show.

The Audi R8 - V10 will be powered by a 525bhp 5.2litre V10 engine. It will make the 0 to 60 mph sprint in less than 4.6 seconds and will hit a top speed closer to 200mph.
